We Won!

Two weeks ago, the zoning board in our town voted unanimously against the request of an apartment developer to rezone the field next door to us from single family to multi-family. And the developers withdrew their request before the City Council meeting. So we’re safe, for now.

Just 2 days ago, in what sounds like a fairly analogous situation (except further from my house, thank goodness!) our town board overturned the county planning board ruling which had determined that a local (former) farm should remain zoned for single-family housing. High-density apartment complexes, environmental stress, increased traffic and insufficient infrastructure, here we come!; January 27, 2010 at 8:41 AM
